CD DRIVE / DVD DRIVE not reading the disc content

You are able to insert the DVD/ CD disc, but all you see is an empty drive from the MY Computer. Follow these simple steps to resolve the issue:

1. Clean the CD/DVD drive using a lens cleaner.

2. Try a different disc.

3. Go to the device manager and uninstall the CD?DVD drive.

4. Restart and check if you can play any CD/DVD disc.

5. If plays, then ok, else shutdown the system and check the cables and reseat them after opening the chassis.

6. Restart again. If it's still not working replace drive.
